What research is being done to improve the management and treatment of childhood glaucoma?

There is very little research currently being undertaken to better understand childhood glaucomas or better treatments for them. 

Some researchers are working on better understanding the long-term success rates of certain medical procedures on children. Others are working to understand the genetics which cause childhood glaucoma. 

The Axenfeld-Rieger Foundation is working to understand how the structure of the eye is impacted by genetic mutations which result in congenital, childhood, and early-onset glaucoma.
